Calling attention to a payment irregularity from a publication I write for... and being told by the Ed Asst that if I had kept my mouth shut I would have been paid twice for the assignment and "they would NEVER have noticed."
Honesty gets you nowhere, and karma is a lie we truth-tellers tell ourselves.
